DIY: Things you didnt know you could recycle, or how to!

Did you know of http://www.earth911.com/ ? Its the one place you can go to figure out how to recycle things you wish you could recycle instead of dumping in the trash... atleast I hope you feel that way everytime you reach for the dumpster:-)


Here are a few things you may not know you could (or how to) recycle/reuse.

  1. here's an idea for swapping/recycling in your own neighborhood!

    we did 2 "free-cycle" events for moms in the community last year and they were a great success! people could participate with or without recyclable items from their homes. one could carry back as much or as little (all for free) or just take a look. people brought in toys, kitchenware, kids clothes, sundries into the collection area. we stuck colored stickers (the same one color for one person) on each item that came in and then put them up on tables categorized by type. items that didn't find a new home went back to where they came from at the end of the day. identifying owners was easy because they all had color stickers.
