here's an idea for swapping/recycling in your own neighborhood!
ReplyDeletewe did 2 "free-cycle" events for moms in the community last year and they were a great success! people could participate with or without recyclable items from their homes. one could carry back as much or as little (all for free) or just take a look. people brought in toys, kitchenware, kids clothes, sundries into the collection area. we stuck colored stickers (the same one color for one person) on each item that came in and then put them up on tables categorized by type. items that didn't find a new home went back to where they came from at the end of the day. identifying owners was easy because they all had color stickers.
